That is when I discovered what I like to call “the multi-functional trendsetting get-up.” In just a few minutes I am going to teach you how to style yourself for the entire day in ONE outfit. You will be able to break a sweat at the gym, followed by lunch with your favorite mom-bosses at the trendiest hot spot in town. Work meeting after? No problem. A simple shoe change will do the trick, but keep your flats in the car since you’ll need them for the playground later.
When I am not “mommying” or styling, you can find me in the barre studio. I look forward to Monday barre! Once the kids are on that bus it is time to clear my head from an action packed weekend. Recently, I was invited to a fancy birthday lunch right after barre class. I was not going to Chop’t salads where my gym uniform would not only be accepted, but complimented up the kazoo. Unfortunately, there is no time to change between my downward dogs and afternoon gala. This was a major style issue.
Well let me tell you, I put together the outfit of a lifetime. For barre class, I started with my favorite Faded Star Leggings and a black tank. After class, I threw on my personally designed StayChic Criss Cross Top and Big City Nights Jacket. To complete this fabulous ensemble I added my wedge booties. Us girls always need an extra inch when it comes to a celebration. The final touch was my spectacular beaded necklace I snatched at a sample sale last summer.

DONE!! I looked like a rock star for lunch and my conference after. School pickup and playground? Had my sparkly sneakers in the car, ditched the necklace and swapped the jacket for my cozy soft Grateful sweatshirt. Nobody would have ever known I was decked out ten minutes before.

As I briefly mentioned above, I am also a designer for my very own upcycled clothing line, StayChic. Days like these were my inspiration. We all need that perfect top to throw on after our workouts, before our meetings that take us all the way to the playground! Moms – you can look good & feel good no matter how your days end up or whichever “hats” you wear.
