What to Know About the Westchester Children’s Book Festival | Northern Westchester Moms

Enjoy a family fun day celebrating reading at the upcoming Westchester Children’s Book Festival! Held at the at the beautiful Mohawk Day Camp in White Plains, NY, families can meet authors and illustrators such as Rosemary Wells creator of Max & Ruby, plus 20 other popular children’s book authors, including Bernard Most (What If the Dinosaurs Came Back), Jennifer Li Shotz (Hero, Max and Scout dog series), Alyssa Capucilli (Biscuit) and Gail Carson Levine (Ella Enchanted). Families can also purchase books and get them signed!

 

Great for kids 2-8 years old, the event will also includes food trucks, treats, entertainment and activities such as musical performances by Songs for Seeds, a petting zoo, a bubble bus, mini golf, carnival games, and tons more!

$20 per family, which includes $15 in “Book Bucks” to spend on books and a $5 donation to JCY-Westchester Community Partners’ Reading Buddies Program.
