Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I’m originally from the UK and came to the states 12 years ago.
I’ve been in North Salem 2 years in July when we moved to our fixer upper.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I worked in steeple chasing from leaving school at 15, did massage therapy and worked as a beauty therapist
My entrepreneurial adventure started when my eldest was a baby I wanted to be a SAHM so I taught myself how to sew and made children’s clothing which grew into a very cute business but had to close during the pandemic
Favorite things to do with your kids?
We love to crafts be outside in nature and go on adventures. We love the local hiking and nature spots that Northern Westchester have to offer!
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The small business community really has blown me away with the love and support around here after only starting both my business recently!
Tell us about RooNee Tents and Events and how you got started?
Both businesses started off a whim. MG interiors bloomed from working in my own home renovations and doing word of mouth projects for people, and I’ve always loved to organize I hate clutter and mess.
RooNees started from my daughter wanting a sleepover and movie birthday and me being the creative wanting to surprise her with something more. Then shortly after came the Luxury Picnics and Event planning that I’m obsessed with, like I mentioned I love to create and organize.

Favorite date night spot I love Hayfields for a quaint bit of healthy breakfast, Farmer and the Fish if we treat ourselves.
Favorite restaurant to go as a family Debbie’s sweet shop is amazing for ice cream! We love ice cream!!!
Favorite place to go out with friends Harvest moon is local and great to hang in the sunshine and have a cocktail. Well Mocktail for me these days.
Favorite place to go to have fun as a family We love exploring our area and have fun everywhere we go!
