Winter sports are on everyone’s mind. And while things are very limited these days, there are several ice skating rinks that are open for both public skating and lessons. Check out the list below for more info:

Where to Go Ice Skating in Westchester

Outdoor Bear Mountain: Bundle up for a fun outdoor ice skating experience at Bear Mountain from now until March 7th. They have various slots during the day to skate, which ranges from 10:00am-9:30pm (FYI – tickets for 10am go on sale at 9:35am and all other sessions around 45 minutes before their session). There are no lockers right now and the rink is only open at 50% capacity, plus all must maintain 6-feet of distance and wear masks.

Cost: $5.00 for adults; $2.00 non-skaters and seniors; $5.00 skate rental and $10 for parking on weekends and holidays.

Brewster Ice Rink: The Brewster Ice Rink is open for public skating, following COVID-19 Guidelines. Check out their schedule for the complete time as well as their holiday schedule, which changes slightly when kids are on breaks. They also offer classes for skaters of all ability levels, ages 3 & up (including adults).

Call for costs

Westchester Skating Academy: The Westchester Skating Academy offers classes for kids and adults to learn how to skate, including hockey and figure skating. While they usually offer freestyle skating, they are not offering that program at this time.

Ebersole Ice Rink: Located at Delfino Park, Ebersole Ice Rink offers skate lessons for all levels, hockey teams, and public skating sessions are offered here throughout the season. Cost: Youth: $8, Adult: $10, Senior: $5, Skate Rentals $5.00 and Skate Sharpening $10.00

E J Murray Memorial Skating Center: One of the largest ice rinks in the area, they currently only offer lessons for hockey and skating for all ages and levels of ability. Check out their website for more info on their public skating.

Cost: General $11.00; Rentals $4.00 and Senior Citizen $3.00.
