Fitness, Community, and Fun at the Saw Mill Club

Parents rarely have time for…well, anything. So, sometimes getting to the gym is a real struggle where it’s hard to find the time or the right place that jives with your goals and schedule. Last month, I stopped all of the excuses and enjoyed a whole month working out and experiencing the Saw Mill Club.

With two outposts — Saw Mill Club East (founded in 2011) and Saw Mill Club (founded in 1972) — this family-owned and operated business is not just a gym, but a whole experience where you can enjoy a HUGE selection of amenities and incredible assortment of fitness classes for every interest and ability, such as yoga, Zumba, spinning, barre, swimming, tennis, and so much more! They also offer a fitness facility with state-of-the-art equipment for cardio, weight training, stretching, and more — with or without a trainer.

As a runner, I gravitated towards the treadmill where I popped on my favorite Podcast and tuned out the world. The gym was incredibly clean and well-lit and never crowded when I was there. After my runs, I would use the weight room and end with some stretching.

Most days, I also used their incredibly clean bathroom that was housed with lockers and showers stocked with shampoo and conditioner to take a shower to ready to get back into the world.  Another favorite was the on-site showers (yes, the showers), equipped with a dry sauna, steam room, private lockers, heated floors and more that made it SO easy to sweat it out and get ready for the day in one place.

I also had the best time taking some of their fitness classes — and there is a lot to choose from. From Yoga to Spin to Barre to Tennis to Cycling to Zumba to a Fit Happy Hour (and more!), the Saw Mill Club has over 280 group exercise classes that fit into everyone’s schedule and preferences. I was so impressed by their interesting classes and loved trying Group Cycling, Barre, Core Shred, and more.

My kids also had the best time at the Saw Mill Club where we enjoyed swimming in their indoor pool. Due to COVID, we had to reserve a time — via their app — in 45-minutes chunks with my daughters. It was a really easy process and I loved the one-on-one time together (at that time only 1 guest was permitted) where we would enjoy a free swim then a treat in the upstairs cafe. Additionally, they also offer lessons including Children’s Swim Lessons, Private Lessons, Adult Learn to swim Group Lessons as well as a place for members to practice Lap Swimming, Water Exercise, Masters/Triathlon Training, Scuba, Aqua Jams and more. Now that it’s summer, members also have access to their beautiful outdoor pool and on-site cafe that you can enjoy all day long with your family.

I was so impressed by everything that the Saw Mill Club had to offer. A complete wellness hub, Saw Mill Club also offers members a community where you can connect with others who share your interests in fitness — and beyond.
