fall beauty and wellness finds

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. It is a time for redirection, growth and focus. It’s also a time to rethink our beauty and wellness routines and switch things up, especially if they aren’t working. Here are a few things that I have added into my fall routine;

Fun Fall Beauty and Wellness Finds

New Beauty Finds:

For the general AM/PM revamp, I have been loving the collection from ISDIN. A 45-year-old company, they use the best ingredients to deliver amazing results. I have been using the ISDIN Eryfotona Actinica Ultralight Emulsion SPF after I wash my face and the ISDIN Melatonik serum at night.

The mineral-based sunscreen is super lightweight that easily blends into my skin, without feeling heavy or greasy. It also works to help prevent future sun damage as well as to repair existing damage thanks to addition of the enzyme, photolyase.

As for the ISDIN Melatonik 3-in-1 Night Serum, it has been an incredible way to naturally restore my skin as I sleep. It contains topical mlatonin that works to enhance your body’s natural repair mechanims as well as the addition of bakuchiol that works like a retinol, without the side effects. Check out even more products from ISDIN here. And be sure to check out more about their Si-Pen from our recent post.

Beauty ruts are super common where you don’t even realize that you are bored until you try something new. This recently happened for me when I tested out the cruelty-free Mile-High Club Volume and Length Mascara and the Lip Retreat Oil from Wander Beauty.

The mascara is pretty magical (yes, magical) as it works to instantly volumize and lengthen, without any lumps or smudges. Providing a fanned out look, it also contains peach leaf extract and castor oil that work to condition and help strengthen the lashes.

The Lip Retreat Oil is equally awesome that makes my lips feel refreshed and moisturized. This powerful lip potion is made with Apricot kernel and avocado oil as well as Rosa canina fruit oil to help promote, healthier looking lips. Bonus: the line is free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, and mineral oil!

New Formulations:

I recently learned that 40% of adult US population has difficulty swallowing tablets. While that isn’t an issue for me, I am always looking for ways to streamline my vitamin-taking and have been loving the Daily Multi Powders for Women, which can easily be blended or stirred into your favorite smoothie, juice, or shake.

Another vitamin from MegaFood that I have been loving is the Skin, Nails & Hair 2 formula from Megafood. Designed to support a healthy complexion, nails and hair, I have been loving adding this to my AM routine that’s real-food sourced and can be taken on an empty stomach.

I’m all about enhancing my bone health as well so I was thrilled to learn more about Megafood’s Bone Health vitamins. This formulation is packed with vitamin D, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, vitamins K1, brown rice, cabbage and oranges–all designed to help maintain strong bones. A simple start to my day, I take them everyday with breakfast.

I’ve also been loving the HUM Skin Heroes Pre+Probiotic that has been a miracle to my acne-prone skin. I take two capsules per day that works to clear up and hydrate my skin while also balancing the gut microbiome. Having tried so many prebiotics in the past, I was super impressed by HUM that seemed to work instantly.

Daily Workouts

I’m all about my daily run. I feel out of sorts when I don’t get to sweat. I typically wake up at 5am, have some coffee and go! I’ve been doing this for around four years and it was totally painful to start but now it has become a part of my day that I don’t question. I also love going to OrangeTheory in Mount Kisco that have been going to for around two years. Their classes are always fun and still feel challenging!

Finding Zen:

It’s hard to chill out as a busy mama. I’m all about trying to chill out. Skinny Tees leggings are the most comfortable ways to chill out. I love the Tie Dye Leggings, which I pretty much wear everywhere when I am running around with the kids and around town to meetings. The body-hugging material is so comfortable that you’ll leave want to take them off (seriously!). They also have tons of other items like comfy dresses, maternity wear and cute shirts.

Hobbies:

I’m all about doing things don’t involve work or the kids. This fall, I have been taking a playwriting class at the Westchester Community CollegeWestchester Community College which has been an incredible way to tap into something I loved in my pre-mom life.

What are you doing for yourself this fall?
