WLT Volunteer Stewardship Day, Saturday, Oct 19, 2019, 10:00 am – 1:30 pm. WLT’s Tom Burke Preserve, 401 McLain Street, Bedford. Help bring history back to life! Learn about the history of stone walls in our region. Join WLT Preserve Manager John Zeiger as he clears brush from a historicstone wall and improve the habitat for wildlife and native plants. Trek Turkey Mountain, Sunday, November 17, 2019, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Turkey Mountain Preserve Trailhead, Locke Lane, Yorktown Heights. Grow & Share! Farm Volunteer Days, October 10, 15, 24, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Sugar Hill Farm, 403 Harris Road, Bedford Hills, NY. We invite you to join us, as we grow fresh produce for our neighbors in need! Grow and harvest produce for our friends and fellow community members at the Community Center of Northern Westchester with fresh fruits and veggies from our half-acre Sugar Hill Farm headquarters! Over the years, our Sugar Hill Farm garden has produced thousands of pounds of produce that has been distributed to those in need throughout our region. It’s no secret that volunteers are an essential part of the program’s success. Any amount of time you can give is welcome.
