Bullying can be hard to spot and sometimes even harder to understand. Sadly, this is happening all around us as kids are navigating the new terrain of childhood.
To help combat bullying, Cedella Marley, daughter of the late Bob Marley, recently launched a Mommy + Me collection in conjunction with her third children’s book: Get Up, Stand Up.
Get Up, Stand Up encourages a new generation to take heart from Bob Marley’s joyful call to action and shows that the way to counter injustice is to lift others up with kindness and courage.
“Standing up for yourself, standing up for others, and standing up for what is right are three very important values my parents instilled in my siblings and me when we were growing up in Jamaica,” Cedella says. “And, as a mom of three sons, I felt it was important to pass this message of strength, compassion, and equality on to them.”
