Bedford Playhouse has announced its plans to reopen to the public on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23. Based on guidance from public health experts and the National Association of Theatre Owners Cinema Safe guidelines, the Playhouse is putting into action enhanced health and safety measures including a mandatory face covering policy, enforced social distancing except with those in your household/party, capacity limits, staggered showtimes, and increased cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
“reOpening Night” at the Playhouse will begin Friday and continue through the weekend with a complete lineup of blockbuster films (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Monsters, Inc., La La Land, Casino Royale, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone), Membership extras, and a special “Brunch and Bridesmaids” movie-themed event featuring a fabulous brunch menu prepared by chef Gerald Massaud followed by the hit comedy Bridesmaids.
While hours and showtimes will vary, the Playhouse and Café will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The team is also preparing to launch a number of carefully curated special events and programs to engage the community in new and interesting ways. If you are looking for a place to host an upcoming event, private rentals of the auditoriums and Café will also be available beginning this week.
The Playhouse Café, which has been open since late summer, features a seasonal Tapas-style menu and a full bar with craft cocktails. On the heels of a successful two-night Bourbon Tasting event, the Playhouse Café will host movie-themed special events and tastings each month. A full menu of dine-in and take-away offerings is available on the Bedford Playhouse website.
