Meet Fatou Cisse Founder and CEO of House of Nannies!
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I was born and raised right here in Westchester! I went through the entire Westchester school
system, and my family has owned a business here for years. We’ve never left—this is home,
and we love everything about it. There’s such a strong sense of community, and it’s been the
perfect place to grow up and grow a business.
Name of your business and how long have you been in business?
I’m the founder of House of Nannies. We’ve been in business for over five years and serve
families across Westchester, NYC, the Hamptons, Connecticut, and New Jersey. We’ve also
been recognized nationally and have supported placements in several other states as well.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I originally went to college for computer science! Also—I absolutely love cooking. It’s one of my
favorite ways to unwind and show love to the people around me.

Tell us about entrepreneurial life. How do you balance it all?
Entrepreneurial life is not for the faint of heart—it’s filled with challenges, long hours, and
constant decision-making. But as hard as it can be, it’s 100% worth it. Childcare is one of the
most emotionally charged and stressful aspects of a parent’s life, and being able to make that
process easier for families is incredibly fulfilling.
There’s nothing like checking in with a family and hearing how happy they are with their nanny,
how peaceful their home feels, and how their children are thriving. It makes every late night,
every obstacle, and every pivot feel like it was for something meaningful. Helping create those
life-changing matches—where children are loved, supported, and engaged, and parents feel
peace of mind—is the heart of what we do.
I’m also fortunate to have an incredible team. Everyone at House of Nannies is just as
passionate about childcare as I am. Whether it’s recruiting, screening, or behind-the-scenes
logistics, my team is what helps everything run smoothly. They bring warmth, heart, and
precision to everything we do, and I genuinely couldn’t do this without them.
And personally, my parents have always been my biggest champions—they gave me the
confidence to start this journey. My boyfriend is truly my rock. He supports me during the busiest
seasons, and always shows up with kindness and encouragement when I need it most. It takes
a village to build a village, and I’m so grateful for mine.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through owning your
business?
Absolutely—my parents planted the seed that led me to create House of Nannies. They’ve
always known how passionate I am about childcare and encouraged me to turn it into
something bigger. My friends have cheered me on every step of the way, and my
boyfriend—he’s been the most supportive partner I could ask for. He’s steady, reliable, kind, and
incredibly thoughtful, especially during the busiest seasons when I need someone in my corner.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are
now?
Westchester has been everything. The families here are warm, intentional, and deeply rooted in
community—which makes our job easier and more joyful. We’ve had the honor of working with
so many incredible families who truly care about building long-lasting relationships with their
nannies. Their trust, word-of-mouth referrals, and ongoing support have helped House of
Nannies grow in the most organic and meaningful way.
Tell us about all of the services your business offers
We specialize in long-term nanny placements, but we also support temporary, travel, and
overnight care. While childcare is our specialty, we also place family assistants, household
managers, private chefs, and more.
We recently launched Little Minders, our babysitting membership service. It’s perfect for families
who don’t need full-time care but still want access to fully vetted, background checked and
reliable sitters. We offer:
● Date Night: for occasional evenings out
● All About Balance: for a few consistent visits a month
● The Back-Up Plan: ideal for families who need a safety net in case of schedule gaps or
emergencies
How do parents sign up to use your services?
Families can start by visiting our website: www.thehouseofnannies.com. If you’re looking for a
long-term or full-time nanny, we walk you through a simple and supportive onboarding
process. You’ll complete a short intake form, review and sign our agreement, and then we begin
our personalized search to find the best possible match for your family.
If you’re looking for occasional, flexible care, our new Little Minders babysitting membership
is the perfect solution. No consultation is required—you can explore the plans online and sign
up directly in just a few clicks. Whether you need a sitter for date nights, backup care, or a few

Yuka’s Latin Fusion—the food and energy are all amazing! You have to try the Steak Diablo
Favorite restaurant in Westchester?
That’s a tough one, but I’d have to say Red Hat on the River in Irvington. The vibe is perfect and
the food never disappoints.
Favorite place to go out with friends?
I love the Boathouse in Ossining or The Sail House in Tarrytown—anywhere with a great water
view and good conversation.
Favorite place to have fun locally?
Does Target or HomeGoods count? 😂 In all seriousness, I love spending time near the water.
Westchester has so many beautiful waterfronts and restaurants with gorgeous views that
