Our meet a mom is Dr Ashley Blonder from Tribeca Pediatrics in Mount Kisco! She is a local mom of 2 girls and is the doctor at Tribeca Pediatrics in Mount Kisco! She shares with us on how to balance it all and more about her!
Where are you both from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am from Brooklyn and my husband grew up in Long Island. We moved from Queens to Cross River in
2021.
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
We have two daughters. Hazel is 5 years old and Sadie is 14 months.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you….
People would probably be surprised to find out that I played Rugby in college. Also that although my
husband and I re-met as classmates in medical school, we were actually classmates in Kindergarten as
well.
Anyone special you would like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
We are beyond lucky to have the love and support of both of our families and have also found an
amazing community of friends/neighbors since moving to Cross River who are basically like family as
well.
Favorite things to do with your children?
We love hiking, gardening, going to the beach, visiting local farmers markets, having dance parties,
checking out different museums and playing board games.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Being a local Pediatrician gives me the unique opportunity to get to know the families in the community
by helping care for their children over many years. I am always learning about new resources and
making connections through my patients and I value their opinions and expertise. I joined Tribeca
Pediatrics in 2018 and was originally working in Astoria. Having the opportunity to now work close to
home has meant the world to me and I am so excited to be giving back to this community that has
welcomed my family with open arms.
Tell us about your mom life and how you manage it all…
It really is a team effort in our household. I am fortunate to have a great partner in life and we try to
share our responsibilities equally. Some days are extremely challenging and hectic but we take it day by
day and in those moments when things feel overwhelming, a bit of silliness and a good laughing fit helps
to reset and move forward.

What made you decide on pediatrics and what can parents expect when they visit with you?
When I was 6 years old I experienced a medical emergency and had to be rushed to the hospital via
ambulance. Although the situation itself was distressing, the doctors and hospital staff who cared for me
inspired me to become a doctor. During college I volunteered in hospitals and always found the most joy
in working with children. Once I completed my pediatrics rotation during medical school I knew for sure
that this was the only specialty I wanted to practice and I am so happy that I made that choice. When
families come to visit I hope that our playful and fun office design puts a smile on their face.
We are lucky to have a great play space for the kids to enjoy while they wait and usually we find that the
patients are more upset to leave the office than they are to come in for a visit. We always aim to deliver
the most kind, compassionate and thorough care possible and can’t wait to continue serving our
community here in Mount Kisco, throughout Westchester and beyond.
What do you enjoy most about working in your neighborhood office?
Giving the best possible care to the children and families in the community and working close to home.
What keeps you motivated?
The amazing and unique relationship that is formed between a pediatrician, their patients, and families
is something that I absolutely treasure. Knowing that everyday I get to take care of and keep the future
of our world healthy and happy is one of the best parts of being a pediatrician. I would also have to say
that my loving husband and family keep me motivated as well.
What do you do for fun?
I love to travel, cook, run, listen to music, play board games, snuggle with my cats and spend time with
my family and friends.
